Learning Objective 3: Provide a comprehensive summary of the literature for interventions for LBP

 

Core stability exercises are often prescribed for cases of LBP however, the efficacy of this type of exercise as reported in the literature is largely unknown among clinicians.

The evidence is clear that stabilisation exercises are no more effective than any other form of active exercise for LBP in the long term.

These recommendations come from a recent systematic review which is summarized below.
